Song/Nursery Rhyme of the Week
Will You Be A Friend Of Mine?
(To the tune of Mary Had A Little Lamb)
Will you be a friend of mine,
friend of mine, friend of mine?
Will you be a friend of mine,
and (select an action: run, jump, dance, etc) around with me?
Letter of the Week
B for Bike
“Every letter makes a sound, B says Buh!”
Snack of the Week
Make a trail mix with a friend during a play date.
Using some favorite items that both children like,
take turns adding different ingredients to the trail mix.
For example, you can use:
Dried fruit (raisins, apricots, etc), nuts (if no allergies),
Mini-candies (be careful of that sugar high!),
Crackers, cereal and/or pretzels
Mix together in a large bowl (taking turn adding items and then mixing)
with a large wooden spoon.
Separate into separate baggies or Dixie cups and enjoy!
Art Project of the Week
Have your child make a picture of a friend
and/or a picture of anything they want FOR a friend.
Write the friends name on the paper
to help your child understand this is for someone else.
Field Trip of the Week
Try riding bikes with a friend this week.
It could be a neighbor!
Hint: the child can be younger – age doesn’t matter!
