Letter of the Week

G for Gorilla

“Every letter makes a sound, G says Guh!”

Snack of the Week

Monkey Snack

Get a rice cake or cut a slice of break into a circle.

Cover with peanut butter

(or another nut or sunflower butter if nut’s are not allowed!)

Take 3 slices of banana, put one on the left side and one on the right to create your monkeys ears!

Then cut the last slice in half and use it for the mouth (leaving a space between top and bottom lip to resemble the monkey’s mouth)

Now add 2 raisin’s for the eyes.

Wah-lah! You have an easy monkey snack!

Art Project of the Week

Who doesn’t LOVE a paper plate face or MASK?

I know masks are popular with my preschool clients.

So let’s make a monkey mask.

DLTK has a great template which makes it super easy

for you to do this project and end with a cute little monkey mask!

Check it out here: Monkey Masks

Field Trip of the Week

Have you made it to the zoo yet?

Or did you create a pretend zoo in your house?

Either way if you haven’t been yet – go this week!

This is our last week of our zoo theme, so really…do it!

Go to the zoo.

If you don’t have a zoo nearby.

Find the nearest zoo and see if

you can make a family trip to that zoo

on an upcoming weekend.

These are the types of trips your kiddos will remember forever!

App of the Week

This is not a monkey, nor is it an “app” BUT…

The national zoo which is in my backyard has a Panda Cam.

I know, it’s not with our monkey theme this week but this panda cam is SUCH a huge hit with all of the kids that I work with that I can get them to do almost anything in a therapy session in return for time watching the panda cam!!

There are 2 cam’s and you should be able to

see baby Bao Bao and mama bear live!

We are here to serve YOU! Hop on over to our Facebook page and share your favorite zoo animal with us!

Have fun with the Zoo theme this week! We are on to our next topic next week: SPRING!!

With Love,

Hallie
